INTERESTING BUILDINGS IN KEETMANSHOOP Museum The old Rhenish Mission Church, now houses the Keetmanshoop Museum. The church was build in 1895 and remained in use until 1930. The church was declared a national monument in 1978. The museum is open Monday to Saturday and concentrates on the early history of the Keetmanshoop district and is well worth a visit. The stone church is a fine example of early colonial architecture, with its original corrugated iron roof and bell-tower with weather-vane and inside there is an elegant pulpit and wooden balcony. |
